Musicsiren is a classically trained pianist who taught herself guitar. She works in several genres including rock, country rock, pop, folk, and movie themes. Sandra was invited to submit to the anthologies, The Best Poets of 2004 and 2005. In addition to creating music, song lyrics, & poetry, she enjoys critiquing the work of others. Raised on a farm in North Carolina, Musicsiren likes spending time in Nashville, TN.
Sandra's musical influences: early Broadway, Chopin, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elton John, Aerosmith, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Foreigner, Santana, Steve Winwood, Jim Steinman (Meatloaf), Jeff Healey, Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Hank Williams, Jr & Sr, & Dolly Parton. Her rock style lends itself to heavy percussion based in Latin and blues (w/an occassional jazz-influenced lead).
