Christopher Leighton has been performing and recording for the better part of three decades.
He began playing classical guitar, however, after finding a jazz guitar book in library, he copied and learned the chord charts, and began ("to my parents dismay"), playing jazz and rock'n'roll.
He lives New York "through a series of interesting events".
Musical influences include Mark Knopfler, Pat Metheny, Weather Report, George Gershwin, Keith Emerson, Kenny Loggins, Thelonius Monk, Alan Holdsworth, Van Halen, Frank Zappa, and Lee Rittenour.
Current compositions are accompanied by the virtual studio band 'Cjeff'. The first CD 'Positive', is getting good reviews and available at stretchtheskies.com.
Christopher seeks to license and sell his work for soundtracks, video games, other artists, etc.
