In the spring of 1998, Billyâs manager got the news that E Streeter Clarence Clemons was looking for a band. Billy got the job, playing lead guitar and sharing the singing duties in the Clarence Clemons Band. A four show run at Asbury Park's famous "Stone Pony" was recorded live in September 2001.
