Many thanks, Nathan. I appreciated your comments on my song 'Slow to Go'. It is true that the song is of an older style and less sophisticated than anything I am hearing since I started reviewing work on Broadjam. I've been a bit shocked to find that contemporary folk has changed so much. I never usually listen to music at all but I like lyrics and the music I make is really just meant to carry those. I like the simple sound of guitar and voice, though I've started putting a little flute into some of the songs. I've only put two songs on to Broadjam so far. I'll put more soon but they will all be very simple and therefore, as you say, probably unsaleable which is a shame. I am very glad though that you enjoy this style of music - perhaps a few other people will too. With best wishes and thanks John

Thanks Doug! I was really happy with how that song came together. This was actually a collaboration that I did with a young 17 year old producer from the U.S. He's got chops for his age and it was a fun production. I appreciate the comments!

haha is that a Freudian slip there with your subconscious saying you want to do a duet? ;)! One of the reasons I've had trouble getting things done and submitted here this year in the 6-pack is I'm so busy with WFH vocal and production work. I'm always available so if you need anything just let me know.

Hey Diana! Thanks so much! It's a banjo! I just got a banjo a month or so ago as a late birthday present from a distant relative. It's a lovely old beat up six string banjo that has a lot of personality and this is the first song I've actually mustered the nerve to try to record with it haha. Really appreciate your comments!

Sweet! I love so many instruments, but I don't think I've fallen in love with one so quickly as the banjo. It really is impossible to be sad when you're playing one haha!
That's why I need it - now if I could just figure out how to change the strings! It really is funny - I'm a piano girl. I wasn't sure which way to put the end in, then I forgot to do the loopy thing, and then I wrapped it the wrong way. Sometimes Piano is so much easier, lol!
haha. I haven't tackled that yet. I have to admit though I am a string instrument guy, I am the worlds worst for keeping on to of string replacing. My old strings are all oxidized and black and nasty :) haha. I guess I'll let you be my inspiration and get to some of these neglected jobs :D!
