Thank you for your five-star rating on Let Your Kingdom Come. The song is meant as a teaching tool for people to understand that God's kingdom is a real government (Daniel 2:44) that will do away with all oppressive leadership today. Many people simply believe that it's a good feeling in your heart. This teaching began with the apostasy from Jesus' teaching that the apostle Paul describes at 2 Thessalonians 2:3. However, Jesus'Father, Jehovah, promises that the truth would be restored in the time of the end (Daniel 12:4) and would be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to the nation's (Matthew 24:14). Thank you again.

I'm sorry to hear what happened with your friend Laura. As Christians we have the hope of the promised resurrection Jesus made at John 6:39,40. I hope it encourages you to know that Laura will return once the earth is cleansed of all wickedness (2 Peter 3:13)

Gemma. Thank you very much for your supportive and useful review of 'Language'. Beth Macari is the vocalist. You might like to hear some of her original work on YouTube.

You mention Linda Ronstadt in your review. By pure co-incidence I was listening to her singing 'Lay Down Beside Me' live in Atlanta ten minutes or so ago. Spooky or what?

Once again many thanks.

Hello Gemma, thanks for the review of You're my Hero. That was a rewrite of Hero in My Eyes (original version). A publisher requested that I rewrite it as a mother's day song. That's probably why the lyrics weren't as flowing as they should be. Lesson learned. The publisher never did a thing with it and I didn't make a dime. OH WELL! Live and learn! Thanks again! Mrs. Kate

Hi Gemma,
Thanks for reviewing our Song Heart ache and desire. I write Lyrics and Lamar is the singer, he loves Prince, so I will tell him that he reminded you of him. I do have a longer version, with Heartache in the beginning, but most producers want songs under four minutes, so we do have two versions. Thanks for the great details you gave, It helped me a lot. Hope you have a great day!

I am glad you liked my version...for me it was a joy to do it. Good luck with your song I liked what you did with it...a friend in music

Hello Tristyn! A big thank-you for adding Can't Stop to your playlist. I surely thank you! All the "jitterbug" stuff on my song collection was written while recuperating from a fractured shoulder. For some reason, breaking that huge bone put me into some sort of "Brian Setzer Orchestra" mode. Gee, hope I don't have to break another bone to get more of those done. I just have so much fun with that stuff. Re self-taught, I am right there with ya (except I did start music lessons last summer so I could sight-read). And, you know, another self-taught group from the UK "invaded" our states 50 years ago. Yeah, yeah, they went on later, at the insistence of their manager, to actually learn to read music. Did it make their music any more popular than "She Loves You, (yeah, yeah, yeah)"? I would have to disagree, in my humble opinion. Teaching oneself is the toughest job of all, not everyone can do it. Keep on doing it YOUR WAY. It is pure!

hi your welcome i,ll add some more sometime.
well they say we have to suffer for our art not sure if they meant broken bones though lol.
you got a great voice for those songs exactly what i like.
i think a lot of the greats cant read music or not until many years later. i don't see the need myself to read music as i mainly just do my own stuff and if i do any covers i prefer to do them differently. though i guess for piano it would be handy. as i'm clueless on that lol.
always learning with music huh! its funny writing songs isnt easy but it is compared to recording them. people dont really listen to the melody and lyrics they want lots of instruments and it to sound like something in the top 40 lol. i find got to be a bit of a one man band and try and play everything. so constantly learning little things in order to record . and people will always say needs this needs that still lol. but for me its a thrill,
thanks

Thank you for your review of my song "MYB". I wanted to explain the lyrics since you didn't understand them. Basically the subject is about the dangers of gossip, leading to a confrontation between 2 parties where the victim tells the offender "My pots don't boil at your house". A colloquial saying for "you and I have nothing to do with each other so mind your business, or the result will be that the snake (having people turn on you) will turn and bite you.

Hi Gemma, thanks for taking the time to comment. I wish Broadjam would allow a reviewer to view the lyrics as he/she listens to the track. Now that I have been able to read the words I definitely like them. Sorry for the negative lyric score but I had listened twice and I just could not understand many of the lines. Best of luck to you! - John
