BioMike Schmid is an award-winning singer/songwriter and classically-trained pianist with a degree in songwriting from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He currently plays keyboards for Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, and was a part of Ticketmaster's biggest-selling tour of all time. Having just completed filming of a new movie to be released in 2009, Mike has also appeared in the box office smash 3-D Hannah Montana "Best of Both Worlds" movie and the soon-to-be-released Miley Cyrus music video, "7 Things I Hate About You," directed by Brett Ratner.
He has also played with The Jonas Brothers, Aly & AJ, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kenna, Chantal Kreviazuk, Van Hunt and The Corrs as well as various independent singer/songwriters.
His songs can be heard on the Felicity Season Four DVD set, the Black Donnellys Season One DVD set, and on various television shows including All My Children, Friday Night Lights, and The Bad Girls Club. His self-titled debut album was released in 2001.
In 2006, he released "The High Cost of Living (A Love Story)" and the "Snow Day" EP. His new album, "The House We Built, which features a new recording of "Forget You" (Broadjam's top selling download of 2007), is due out August 2008.
