Bio

A member of the British Music Writers' Council, Musicians' Union, PRS and MCPS; David has a wide range of experience in music, ranging from writing and producing pop songs to composing choral and orchestral commissions; these include the world premiere of Poet Laureate Derek Walcott's adaptation of "The Odyssey", Tolkien's song cycle for the SNO and "Anterores" for the Ladin Choir in Italy.
As well as composition for film & TV; David works in audio post-production, produces films and is a fight director, all of which means he gets to alternately play with computers, instruments and swords. In short - he's a big kid (but don't tell him that - on account of the sharp swords!)
He has been composing for Film, TV & Theatre since 1982. Feature Films include: "Fallen Angels", "In The Dark", "Hamlet" & "To Have and to Hold". TV: "Eikon", "Wild Harvest" & "Zig Zag". Has worked on award-winning films "That Old One" and "Red Road" and has won a Silver Rose for Best Sound Design.
