Brad Huggins' BIO

Brad Huggins is a musician and composer rapidly expanding his library of music for Film, Television, and Commercials. His music is a broad mix of commercial-friendly, Electronica, Ambient, Adult-Contemporary, and Acoustic Rock. Brad can also accurately remix any of his own compositions in surround sound for use in movies, video games, or amusement park rides. Brad is also currently working as a freelance sound designer and audio engineer in the Dallas, Texas area.

Brad has been involved in music since an early age. He has played piano since the age of 7, attending formal classical training until the age of 16. Brad continuously received excellent ratings for his performances at regional piano festivals, piano recitals, and talent shows. He also achieved a position as alternate pianist for the Oklahoma All-State Jazz Ensemble during high school.

Brad started playing the saxophone at the age of 12, attending formal jazz training until the age of 19. He was an influential member of his school's concert, marching, and jazz bands which won several State and National awards. Brad gained studio experience during high school as the jazz band professionally recorded an album each year. Brad also achieved a saxophonist position in the Oklahoma All-State Jazz Ensemble during both his junior and senior year of high school. He was also selected as a member of the Oklahoma ALL-OMEA Jazz Ensemble during his senior year. During college, Brad played tenor saxophone in the University of Oklahoma Jazz Ensemble.

At the age of 14, Brad started playing the guitar. He played guitar in a few Rock bands during high school. During college, Brad formed an original, three-piece Alternative Rock band in which he played guitar and sang backup vocals. The band, Hate to Feel, played at several parties, various college events, talent shows, and local high school dances. In 1995, Hate to Feel produced a demo CD. In the fall of that same year, Brad decided to continue his college education and left the band.

After attending college and receiving a degree in Computer Science, Brad worked in the computer/Internet industry for over 10 years. He was also certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) and Microsoft Solution Developer (MCSD). Brad has developed several web sites and applications for a variety of companies over the years.

In late 2004, Brad decided to make a change in his life and do something that he really enjoyed, MUSIC! Brad attended the MediaTech Institute (Dallas Sound Lab) in Dallas, Texas. He studied audio engineering, studio techniques, mixing, mastering, post-production for television and film, live sound reinforcement, and music production and composition.

With a strong background of music theory, instrumentation, and computer skills, Brad is rapidly expanding his library of music for Film, Television, and Commercials. He is also currently working as a freelance sound designer and audio engineer.
