This, the second of Kate's series of LIMITED EDITION EPs, features drums, turntables, pedal steel, and, of course, Kate's 8 string playing and bird-like voice. Paper Crown is her strongest collection of original music to date. Instrumentally, it is folk with a hearty dose of jazz. Lyrically, the songwriting is sharp as a sword. This limited edition EPs featuring hand-made & sewn artwork. The cover is silk-screened with an original image by Ryan Price. The whole deal was done in Guelph, Ontario, Kate's new home. The star-studded cast of characters who appear on various tracks include renouned emcee Noah 23, drummer David Miller Jamrog, turntablists DMS and Lucid, and Lewis Melville...World music expert, Andrew McPherson, co-produced, engineered, and mixed the tracks down.
