Each and every track feels like a winner and most manage to retain a stunning simplicity whilst still sounding classy and memorable. Superbly performed, engineered and produced at ffg Studios, Gloucestershire this is very impressive indeed. His army of devotees will love this work, and it has an attraction and magnetism that'll surely pull many new fans into the fold. Using strings (Wigornia String Quartet) and Hammond organ (David Pickering Pick) to provide a new freshness and feel, Jamie along with Paul Smith, Dave Staiger and Jon Sharp, has brought an extra depth, dimension and style to his excellent songs. And, with the bonus of some brilliant backing vocals from Ria Keen, Jamie's words really are brought to life. 'Bound' brings Jamie Knight totally up to date. It's packed full of mood, it flows superbly and begs the listener to press the play button over and over again. It has everything it needs and more. At ffg, Dave Pickering Pick has sought out and found some previously missing links and brought out the best in Jamie Knight and his music. It has instant appeal but it's also a grower and a worker. Put it on, put it on again, and again... and again!! There's that sort of hook here, I can't actually put my finger on what it is but 'Bound' simply won't allow me to take it off the player. 'Bound' is a stunning piece of work. It's balanced and well proportioned - no frills yet intricate - smooth yet full of attitude.
