James Dower has released his debut vocal CD 'Now'. With 10 songs written and recorded between 2009-2010, 'Now' blends Dower's diverse stylistic influences into a distinct pop/rock sound that recalls the pop sensibility of Elton John and Billy Joel while drawing deep from the classic rock foundation of bands such as Led Zeppelin and ELP, mixing vocal material with hard-grooving instrumentals. Featuring bandmates and world-class musicians Joe Goretti on drums, Ivan Bodley on bass and special guest Mark Newman on acoustic guitar, 'Now' is a showcase of Dower's talents as a singer/songwriter, pianist, guitarist and producer. Recorded in New York City, the CD carries the energy of the Big Apple while painting images of a life spent in music, being in and out of love, and reflections on time itself.
