Earth Songs ~ Emily Burridge's first production was released in 1994 and has now been re-mastered and released on the artist's own label: White Horse World Music. The energetic source for the music was a journey made by Emily to the Mato Grosso Forest and the Amazon Forest of Brazil. Staying in a vast raw natural environment, bathing in waterfalls at dawn, such experiences fed her senses in such a way that on returning to England she was inspired to convert these memories to sound and commenced writing lyrics which reflect experiences of this time. Staying in such nature devoid of your customary comforts and securities, your perspective shifts an experience that North American Indians call a vision quest. Emily combines her mellow 'cello and singing with classical harmonies and percussion, tribal chant and ethnic instruments.
