Alec Wilder (1907-1980) was born in Rochester, New York and briefly studied composition at the Eastman School of Music. Much has been written about the technical features and categorization of his musical styles. This collection draws on the harmonic beauty of his compositions which I came admire again recently while playing "Be A Child" 25 years after I first played it. The harmony, voice leading and changes of musical character in Alec's pieces helped inspire these updated arrangements. Diana's arrangements and performances were recorded on a Macintosh G5 using Cubase SX, MOTU 896HD, Stylus RMX, Fxpansion's BFD, Miroslav Philharmonic VST, Spectrasonics Trilogy, WAVES, a Kurzweil K2000R and a Yamaha P120.
