Write Your Name in the Sky

This winner of the 2007 Madison Area Music Award for "Best Rock Album" features everything from bagpipers to a gospel choir accompanying Clear Blue Betty's soul-deep style. Clear Blue Betty announced the release of their sophomore CD, Write Your Name in the Sky on April 25, 2006. This follow up to their 2004 release, Never Been a Rebel, which earned them the 2005 Madison Area Music Award for Best Rock Album, is already turning heads. Local reviewers are raving about this album. Contessa Says (www.contessasays.com) put it best in her review: “This CD is a wonderful collection of songs and truly represents the extreme talent found in this band. This album is extremely polished while still keeping an awesome rock edge………. the variety found in this album makes you believe that bagpipes and a gospel choir belong in every rock collection. Clear Blue Betty is willing to take chances with sound and composition and it shows they 'live life like they’re bulletproof'!” Lead singer, guitar player and songwriter, Beth Kille, the 2006 Madison Area Music Award winner for Best Female Vocalist and the band showcase their versatility in this album which ranges from the sultry tones of Small Talk to the “screaming stunner…” (The Onion, Volume 41 Issue 17) Bulletproof. In addition to bagpipes on December 31st and a gospel choir on The Calling the album also features rising star Charlie Victor of Bascom Hill in a power ballad duet with Kille on Come Over. The songs on this album are infectious and diverse. Add it to your collection today!
