Summer Conquered By Rain
Folk - Rock
Nearly one year after the release of his third, eponymous record, we're now proud to release Amit Erez's fourth album "Summer Conquered by Rain".
The new album will be released digitally only, and will be sold on all the digital platforms available around the world.
Amit is recognized as an outstanding and respected musician where he performs both as a contemporary singer/songwriter and as the guitarist of the eclectic-rock band Eatliz as well.
Throughout his eight years of activity in the Israeli alternative scene, Amit has gathered himself a reputation as one of the most important figures of the local scene and managed to build himself a solid and strong fan base in the country. His mind-boggling use of the guitar, along with his outstandingly brilliant songwriting skills and emotional delivering, is what turns Amit to one of the best singer/songwriters in the world today, soon to become internationally well known.
The year that had passed since his last record came out, had been a brilliant one. Amit kicked off the year with winning the precious Vox Populi category in the Independent Music Awards, with his song Postcard.
Later that year, a brilliant video was released for the song that gained a lot of public attention, which led to Amit's playing the main stage of the Livorno Love Festival in Italy last July.
With his influences vary from the likes of Elliott Smith and Nick Drake, to the gentle Robert Wyatt touches and dark Nick Cave approach to his music, Summer Conquered By Rain is a collection of songs from his previous Israeli releases, that gives a closer look into Amit's inner world.
The album also includes a rare cover version for the great 80's band Minimal Compact song - My Will.
Amit will play a series of EU date during the course of April 2009.
Summer Conquered By Rain - Out on April 1st. Digitally distributed by IODA(US and Canada) and Kontor New Media (EU)
