AFM was formed in upstate New York when singer Eric (Nash) Jennings and guitarist Eric Schink met while both looking to start new projects in 2003. Shortly after playing together it became evident that Jenning's Nashville influences and Schink's progressive guitar style were a match. Since then, drummer Glen Kroemer (from another group with Jennings) joined the band along with bassist Troy Hughes (from a previous band with Schink.) Kroemer's fusion influences and Hughes' melodic, punchy basslines give the music it's tightness and bottom end.
