Thee Phantom wrote his first rhyme at the age of 8 and made his first beat by mixing Beethoven's 5th Symphony with 'Paul Revere' by the Beastie Boys. Little did he know that his combination of B-Boy Meets Beethoven would later open up a world of opportunity for him. In 2002, Thee Phantom became the first Hip-Hop Artist to perform at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center with musical accompaniment from members of the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. Among the group of musicians was Violist Renard Edwards, who 30 years earlier became the first African-American musician ever to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
