This music is the solo electronica project of musician and architect Ryan Hughes. The music fuses a range of styles and instruments together, with the botttom line focused on rhythm and groove. Ryan, a bassist with a lot of live and recording experience in bands, composed and performed these songs on basses, keyboards, guitars, banjo, mandolin, pedal steel, and drums. NO pre-recorded/commercial loops or samples are used for beats or instrumentation--everything is created and played by Ryan, with a few vocal/nature samples as exceptions.
Ryan has done recording, engineering, mixing, and production for a number of artists and albums, as well a this solo proct. He has composed scores of original songs ranging from acoustic jazz, fusion, and world to funk, electronica, and hip hop. He has done some film scoring for short independant films, and is interested in continuing with composition and production of instrumental songs for film, tv, or video games.

Bio
Quandry is Ryan Hughes. Raised in Whitefish, MT until 1995, Ryan has lived in Charlottesville, VA ever since. He grew up with piano lessons, played guitar in bands in high school, and found his voice on bass in college, while managing to get an architecture degree along the way. He currently plays bass in three bands, performs solo as Quandry, and composes, records,a dn produces music for all four projects. In addition to bass, guitar, and keyboards, Ryan plays and programs drums and percussion, and also plays mandolin and Hammond organ.

All instruments are played by Ryan-- NO pre-recorded loops or samples are used for beats or instrumentation, except for a few vocal samples. For Live performance, Ryan teams with guitarist Kurt Dressel to form the duo MiXed BaG. Mixed Bag performs a few times a month in central Virginia, and uses a laptop with Live and FL and real instruments to do live looping electronica shows with NO pre-recorded material whatsoever.
