TONE, also known as “Pt”, is a 21 year-old lyrical guru from the South-Side of the Windy City of Chicago. This tactful wordsmith start composing masterpieces at the tender age of 6, and since then his pen has been spilling honest accounts of Chicago living and truthful rhetoric that evokes emotion and motivation amongst his peers as well as his elders. TONE’s skillful wordplay and rich vocal delivery makes him a matchless commodity in a society of hip-hop that has evolved into a commercial industry. TONE became active in exposing his talent at the age of 16, and in the summer of 2001 he competed in the Source’s Unsigned Hype Freestyle Battle Tour. Out of 100 competing emcees, Tone managed to earn 2nd place. Immediately after this competition, Tone started recording regularly, and since the fall of 2001 he has recorded over 75 songs!! His first industry demo, Nuthin' 2 Prove, earned him recognition from numerous labels. Recently signing to Catalyst ’01 Entertainment has certainly added spice to TONE’s flavor of music. His talent combined with The Catalyst’s production has gained TONE notoriety by some of the top DJ’s in the Midwest. It’s time now that the world gets to know this rap phenomenon. TONE offers style, intellect, wisdom, integrity and credibility to the rap game. When asked about his style of rap he responds, "It's self-explanatory. It's real music for real people." Fresh out of the Wild 100’s area in Chicago comes the hottest new rap artist ready to bring the drama with his new single “Do the Do.” Dino brings forth energy from left -field that makes people get on the dance floor and bounce, shake, move, break or whatever is necessary to have a good time. This groundbreaking single, produced by Harvy Allbangers, has stunned industry executives and DJ’s in the Midwest region of the United States. Dino is definitely ‘bringing it” from the streets to the airwaves and cd- players infecting ears with the true Chicago sound.
Dino hails from Rag-town in the 100’s and has graced stages from Summer-fest in GarfieldPark on the West-Side to the Canopy Club down in Champaign, Illinois. He debuted on “ The Hustle” with the smash single “So Much Drama” and featured on cuts such as, “Mind On My Money” and “ That Body.” This artist consistently gives you that low down in the gutter sound due to the FACT that Dino has true street credibility and is not just another studio gangster trying to use tales from the streets for profit or personal gain. Dino is authentic and gives it to you raw and uncut.
At this time, Dino is in the kitchen cooking up a batch of new hits for his upcoming untitled album. Production will be done by The Catalyst, Harvy Allbangers, Leeway Productions and a host of other producers. There will be guest appearances by W.C. from the West-Side Connection and, J.U.I.C.E. and other hot artists. He is going to give rap fans a mixture of get up on the dance floor music and songs that will convey what it’s really like growing up in one of Chicago’s most notorious hoods.
