Angelo Vivo may seem like your typical boy-next-door, but this Bay Area native's passions for singing, songwriting, dancing, and martial arts has dubbed him to be the Quadruple Threat of his generation. The genres he has found his niche in include R&B and Pop, with his influences being Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Usher, Musiq Soulchild, John Legend, and Chris Brown, just to name a few. At the dawn of his musical journey he grooved and sang along to the songs of musical legends as a toddler in his car seat. Later, singing in his church's choir, starring in musicals, and writing songs inevitably became a part of his rhythmic flow of life.

Getting to know Angelo Vivo

At the age of seventeen, Vivo joined John Robert Powers, a premier performing arts academy. His time at the academy led to his opportunity to compete against singers from around the globe at the International Presentation of Performers (iPOP!) Convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was during this milestone of Angelo's life where he also had a chance to work with Jeri Slaughter, the noted choreographer of Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and Dancing with the Stars.

One year later, he participated in Shiekh Music's Rip the Mic Tour sponsored by Island Def Jam Recordings. The event was held in Burbank, California, where he performed and represented the Bay Area with twenty other singers and rappers representing their hometowns as well.

A defining moment of Vivo's music career was winning the iShowcase Music presented by King Ryan Events. The showcase was held in San Francisco, California and amongst the music industry guests was Tunji Balogun, an A&R from Interscope Records. After singing his heart out, Vivo was dubbed the winner of the showcase and was invited to the Interscope headquarters in Santa Monica, California thereafter.

Today, Vivo is continuing his vocal training and writing songs that are genuine and able to connect with all audiences. He is currently recording his EP and has released his first single, "Shine On". Aware of how influential the entertainment business can be, he plans to be a positive role model to the youth of his generation. Staying true to his fans and not forgetting why he chose to pursue his musical aspirations, he proclaims, "I'm not in it for the wealth, fame, or fashion, I'm in it because music is my genuine passion." He hopes to share his talents and music with the world in order to heal and inspire, and desires to create songs that remind people how powerful music can be.
