Alexis Antes has worked hard over the past few years to achieve a strong following, resulting in an invitation to play Lilith Fair at Blossom Music Center in 1998. She has shared the stage with such artists as Jewel, Paula Cole, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Jonatha Brooke, Joan Armatrading, and Dan Fogelberg.

Since the breakup of her former band Odd Girl Out, one of the more popular Cleveland area bands of the 90’s, Antes has been refining her own skills as a solo artist—writing, performing and touring relentlessly throughout the Midwest and East coast.

More than anything, the personal nature of Antes’ songs is what strikes a chord with her fans. The music, mood, strength, and sensitivity of those songs and how she translates them live shows us a blossoming artist firmly in control of her own destiny. The hard work and persistence have taken Antes through life experiences that take the average songwriters into greatness, and the great songwriters into an elite class.

Alexis Antes Bio

A timeline of five years is all about perspective. For singer/songwriter Alexis Antes of Cleveland, Ohio, five years was enough time between records to tour and further develop her chops as a songwriter. All Come Down, released in 2003, is Antes’ latest and the follow-up to 1998’s Stronger. All Come Down is more of a full band effort, and its songs are full of the heartfelt lyrics and emotionally engaging melodies that have made Antes one of the top songwriters among her peers.

Antes has worked hard over the past few years to achieve a strong following, resulting in an invitation to play Lilith Fair at Blossom Music Center in 1998. She has shared the stage with such artists as Jewel, Fleetwood Mac, Paula Cole, James Taylor, Melissa Etheridge, Jonatha Brooke, Joan Armatrading, and Dan Fogelberg.

Antes taught herself guitar at the age of twelve and at eighteen, was a founding member of the folk/pop group Odd Girl Out, a mainstay on the Northeast Ohio music scene and one of the more popular area bands of the 90’s. Since the band split, Antes has been refining her own skills as a solo artist—writing, performing and touring relentlessly throughout the Midwest and East coast.
