The "Cover Can"

The 6-Pack blogosphere has spoken. You want a cover song challenge, you got it! The "Cover Can" challenge asks you to create a cover song centered on one or more of these songs:

  1. You Are My Sunshine - Jimmie Davis
  2. Georgia on My Mind - Hoagy Carmichael
  3. Nothing But The Best - Johnny Rotella
  4. Besame Mucho - (English version) Consuelo Velazquez and English lyrics by Sunny Skylar
  5. Everyday - Buddy Holly, Norman Petty

After submissions close, your peers will vote to decide who entered the best cover song!

We've taken care of the legal stuff, so cover freely. There are several recorded versions of each of these songs, and we don't want to influence production by suggesting a version for each one. It's up to you to find recorded versions of the song you want to cover. For those who are stumped and can't find any of these songs, we (or someone else) may drop a hint in the 6-Pack Blog down the line. But for the rest of you, let the recording begin and make sure to put your stamp on it. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Make it yours!

Two-Timer

You Two-Timer! Sound like a compliment? For once, it is! For this challenge, we want you to use at least two time signatures in your song. The best song will incorporate time changes, while remaining a great overall piece.
