Loud, powerful, plain and simple, full of contrast, yet through and through melodious: the music of 69 Chambers captured in words. The trio from Zurich are positioned somewhere between alternative rock and metal. Categorisation into one of the more common musical styles would be difficult, which is possibly due to the very diverse musical preferences of the three band members. Despite or perhaps because of their differences the collaboration functions perfectly - on a musical as well as a personal level.
That the band only consists of three members has a good reason: the art of simplicity. 69 Chambers manages to create powerful music with catchy melodies by arranging and combining different style elements, with as few instruments as possible.
The constant in their music is the sonorous change. Variation is far more important to the band than technical over-indulgence which kills tension and inevitably creates sterile boredom.
